Aircraft Broker Course is a free, plain-English guide to becoming an aircraft broker: what the work involves, what the law requires, how training works, how to choose a course, where the jobs are and how brokers are paid.
Who publishes it
This site is published by the International Aircraft Broker Institute (IABI). IABI is a private training provider that sells online courses for aircraft charter brokers and aircraft sales brokers. It is not a regulator, a government body or an accrediting body.
That matters, so we say it plainly: when a page on this site mentions an IABI course, it is mentioning our own product. Those mentions are labelled. Links from this site to iabi.aero carry tracking tags so IABI can see which guides people found useful.
How the guides are written
- Useful first. Each guide is written to answer the question fully, whether or not you ever buy a course from anyone.
- Primary sources. Statements about regulation are checked against the regulation itself, such as the US Code of Federal Regulations, or the regulator’s or association’s own website. If a claim cannot be sourced, it is left out.
- Attributed numbers. Any figure, such as a salary estimate, names the third-party source and the date. We do not publish income figures of our own.
- Other providers described neutrally. Where other training providers are mentioned, they are described from their own websites, without rankings.
- No promises. No course, ours included, can promise a job, an interview, an income or a license. You will not see that promised here.

It is general information, not legal, tax or financial advice. Aviation rules differ by country and change over time. Before you act on anything that has legal or tax consequences, speak to a qualified professional, such as an aviation attorney.
